Basic Description

Synthesis and Functionality:
740 YP is an artificially designed phosphorylated peptide that mimics the key tyrosine phosphorylation site in the PI3K (phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase) signaling pathway and is used to activate the PI3K/Akt/mTOR pathway. Its sequence contains phosphorylated tyrosine (pY) residues that can directly bind to the PI3K regulatory subunit and promote downstream signal transduction.

In vitro studies:
• In cell lines (such as HEK293, MCF-7), 740 YP induces Akt phosphorylation by activating PI3K, thereby enhancing cell survival, proliferation and metabolic regulation.
• Used to study the mechanism of PI3K-dependent signaling pathways, or as a positive control to verify the effects of inhibitors (such as LY294002).

In vivo studies:
• In animal models (such as tumor-transplanted mice), local injection can transiently activate the PI3K pathway in target tissues and is used to explore the molecular mechanisms of cancer, immune or metabolic diseases.

Application areas:
