Carperitide

Basic Description

Structure and function:
Caperitide is a synthetic peptide consisting of 27 amino acids.
It is an analog of human brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and has diuretic and vasodilatory effects.
By activating granular guanylate cyclase, caperitide increases intracellular cGMP levels, thereby lowering blood pressure and reducing cardiac workload.
In vitro and in vivo studies:
In in vitro experiments, caperitide can significantly increase the production of cGMP.
In in vivo experiments, caperitide can effectively reduce blood pressure and cardiac workload in patients with heart failure.
Clinical trials have shown that caperitide has a good effect in the treatment of acute heart failure.
