Prorelin is a synthetic decapeptide that belongs to the thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) analog. Its main function is to stimulate the anterior pituitary gland to secrete thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and prolactin (PRL) by activating TRH receptors. Prorelin also has the effect of promoting the release of neurotransmitters.
