Basic Description

Synthesis and Functionality ​:
NF-κB inhibitory peptide (SN50) is a cell-permeable peptide that targets the nuclear localization signal (NLS) of NF-κB, blocks its nuclear translocation, and inhibits NF-κB-mediated inflammation, apoptosis, and immune responses. It is often used to study the NF-κB signaling pathway and related disease mechanisms.

​ In vitro studies ​:
• Inhibits TNF-α or LPS-induced NF-κB activation and reduces the expression of pro-inflammatory factors (IL-6, TNF-α) in cell models (e.g., macrophages, cancer cells).
• Serves as a negative control to validate NF-κB-dependent gene regulation.
